How to measure yourself

Chest (1)

Measure around the fullest part of your torso. Loop the tape under your arms and over the shoulder blades so that the ends of the tape come together at the front.

Waist (3)

Loop a tape measure around your waist (like a belt), level with your waist, which is above your navel and just under your rib cage. If you bend to one side, the fold that forms is your natural waistline.

Hips (3)

Hold the end of the tape on one hip and loop the rest around the widest part of your bottom, so that it comes around to the point where you started. Make sure that the tape is passing over your bottom. Since it may be difficult to make sure that the tape is flat, try taking this measurement in front of a mirror.

Leg length (4)

The outer leg length is the measurement you need for the correct trouser length. It is the distance between your hips and the sole of your foot.
